Beanstock Coffee 

Beanstock's tag line, Coffee is Personal, is reflected not only through its carefully selected and roasted blends, but in the e-commerce web site that Polar Design developed. Its unique personalized coffee bags allow shoppers to order coffee blends with the names of their friends, companies, or family on the bag – a very cool gift for hard core coffee lovers. The e-commerce site developed for Beanstock not only permits the easy ordering and fulfillment of personalized bags, but also communicates the effect with an interactive Flash presentation on the home page that allows visitors to actually rename a bag right on the web site.

Upside Down Restaurant 

A winner of the "Best restaurant web site 2009" in a European business magazine, this state of the art web site is a visual feast on par with the delectable steak and whiskey offerings available in the Upside Down restaurant. Advanced SEO techniques, a unique design, custom photography, an interactive Flash tour of the restaurant, and a Flash menu are among the features that have drawn thousands of visitors into the web site experience and, eventually, into the restaurant itself. Our social media campaign has resulted in thousands of monthly visitors from Facebook, Twitter, newsletters and organic SEO.

Cheers Pub Boston

Polar Design created and launched a revolutionary all-Flash merchandise e-commerce site for Cheers, a popular 80s sitcom show set in a local Boston pub. The website's exclusively Flash drive interface is highly adaptive integrating with a Web 2.0 e-commerce platform, InsightBuilder® ECOM, a Polar Design product. To ensure search engine visibility, Polar Design implemented the Flash interface inside a hypertext container with HTML hyperlinks. The dynamic e-commerce website now allows fans of the show to purchase official licensed merchandise in a fun, on-line destination without visiting the actual store.

Shell Homegenie 

Polar Design utilized Shell Home Genie's new home management tool and created a cinematic, highly concept-oriented introduction by connecting viewers with the emotional benefits of using the new tool. The objective was to create a clean and creative presentation that makes the user feel as though they are in the home itself. From developing the presentation concept to creating the animations, Polar was able to create a unique concept to captivate customers. Key parts of the presentation include an animated walk through, modifiable slides that describe individual add-on components, a web site "simulator" and other features. Furthermore, the presentation serves as a tool for trade show settings, playing on in-store kiosks, and has holds usable to the primary target market by playing effectively for Internet users.

Paddock Way

Paddock Way hired Polar Design to create an engaging and unique brand website that would effectively differentiate them from the thousands of other online furniture stores. Polar Design exceeded expectations with an innovative furniture configurator that allows the user to combine thousands of furniture components and calculate the final price based on the options the users select. Polar Design continues to help the site evolve based on quantitative results of user behavior. After recent analysis, it was discovered that certain users spend significant amounts of time configuring furniture but forget to save their creations by registering. Polar Design implemented a quick and easy pop up window that rewards visitors that spend a certain amount of time or visit a certain amount of pages the website by offering them a discount code. This has lead to an increase in registrations and accelerating the building of Paddock Way's consumer database that will allow the brand to keep in contact with these prospective customers.

Roger Rulewich 

In early 2005 Roger Rulewich and the Golf Group approached Polar Design to develop its first website with the intention of properly representing the group in an innovative way. Polar conducted its branding process with the Group and identified unique characteristics of the firm's culture, history, services and its principals. These provided ample fodder for lively brainstorming that results the current web site. Key design elements include gentle curves, suggestive of a golf course, along with a creatively conceived, subtle Flash banner whereby an architect's sketch is drawn and gradually morphs into an actual course. The site thus communicates the Group's special combination of personalized client attention, classical style and comprehensive services (i.e., design to construction).

Armagnac Cames

With a high-end, quality brand, like Armagnac Cames (a form of Brandy) building a web site that reflected both the quality and craftsmanship of their product became the focus for Polar Design. The objective was to create a web site designed for two markets (France and the United States) and it had to educate consumers and retailers about Armagnac. Polar design developed a Flash driven site that incorporated rich photography of vineyards and nobility drawing in visitors. Polar also provided link popularity consulting, allowing it to reach the 1st page of results in Google for key search terms. Keeping the family-owned Armagnac image in mind Polar created a clean, distinguished and elegant look for the site.

NewTV

NewTV, a public access television station based in Newton, MA, hired Polar Design for the rebranding efforts of their online presence in accordance with the celebration of the station's 20th Anniversary. In addition to the online rebranding efforts, NewTV also wanted to bring their video programming online in an easily navigable way as well as allow visitors to pay membership and class fees online. The result: a sleek and professionally designed user-friendly media website with e-commerce and video embedding capabilities that will last NewTV the next 20 great years.

Marble & Granite Care Products

Marble Cleaning Products chose Polar Design to create a custom designed e-commerce site along with a tailored online marketing campaign, including PPC campaign optimization and Search Engine Optimization and immediately realized double digit growth in sales. Using the InsightBuilder ECOM e-commerce platform allowed Polar Design to implement virtually any design or layout and use code that is lightweight and efficient, leading to faster page load times and cart processing. Polar also implemented a search engine optimization plan, using a variety of techniques and optimized the company's PPC campaign through a program of campaign testing. Currently, site traffic continues to grow, users view an average of 3.28 pages per visit, visitors continue to convert at more than 2%, and site sales remain up 70% from last year.
