Polar Design Version 4 Arrives : Website Redesign News Worth Noting!
October 18, 2012
After a seven year run, Polar Design’s much beloved “version 3” web site retired today. Initially developed to showcase the company’s flash design and custom development capabilities, the website attracted tens of thousands of strangers into engaging with the Polar Design brand over its lifespan.
Polar Design’s new website reflects its growing maturity and focus as an agency in four key areas: online communications, portal design, e-commerce design and social media.
Within each of these categories, Polar Design has innovated unique approaches to client’s needs from social media facebook applications that attract customers at a fraction of the cost of other online marketing, to e-commerce product configurators that provide e-commerce businesses a path to ride the wave of “product customization” that is causing brands to reinvent themselves. Additionally, our nearly decade involvement in secure portal design for Taft-Hartley funds, insurance and other verticals is on display.
The new site provides visitors easier access to portfolio items, blog posts and service descriptions relevant to their particular needs by multiple menu structures, portfolio filters, blog tags and many other navigational features. And with our version 3 web site falling behind in functionality to support the latest SEO techniques, version 4 support SEO with updated content management and SEO analysis tools.
Additionally, we have continued to refine our best practices and client engagement philosophy – crystallizing communication in a number of important ways:
- Fresh design and content to reflect our the change to our brand that crystallizing communications requires.
- Applying our favorite prescriptions to ourselves – for example, we’re running all kinds of experiments on our visitors (unbeknownst to them), gathering data to inform design improvements, and iterating on what we’ve built to achieve every greater result
We hope you enjoy the new look, layout and functionality of Polar Design’s version 4 website. If you remember version 3, please don’t hesitate to comment on our blog post or drop us a line and tell us what you think of the change!
