Polar Design developed a pair of interconnected iOS mobile applications—HOMME for consumers and HOMME Salon for business users—as part of a sophisticated e-commerce and partner engagement platform tailored for the high-end men’s grooming market.
The HOMME D2C app provides consumers with a curated shopping experience centered around premium grooming products offered on consignment by top-tier men’s salons. Shoppers can browse new arrivals, explore seasonal promotions, and place orders for pickup at participating salon locations. An integrated rewards system grants loyalty points with each purchase, redeemable for services and perks at salons, creating a seamless blend of e-commerce and in-person engagement.
Complementing the consumer app is the HOMME Salon B2B app, which empowers participating salons with tools to manage their consignment-based inventory, track commissions in real time, and verify customer identities for product pickups. This app acts as a vital link between online transactions and in-salon fulfillment, enhancing transparency and trust between salons and the HOMME platform.
At the core of the solution is a robust, custom-built back-end system developed using Python and Django. The administrative interface enables HOMME’s internal team to:
Onboard and configure new salon partners
Manage inventory, commissions, and user-generated orders
